Halloween Havoc

Just about the entire month of October, there were various Halloween happenings involving the kids.

First, there was Trick-or-Treating at the Garden State Discovery Museum, followed by play indoors.

Then there was a Halloween Party at the dojang (Cherry Hill Martial Arts).

Then a Halloween Party at a friend's house (the baby was the big attraction).

Then the Trick-or-Trunk Halloween Parade at Maia's daycare.

And then finally, actual Halloween night Trick-or-Treating.

Knitting!!!!

Be still, my beating heart. Liam had been asking me to teach him knitting since he was four, but I wasn't sure when he would be old enough to teach. He really begged me to this month, and so finally I decided to try and teach him. I cast on for him and did two rows to get things started, but then I showed him how to do it. And he picked it up right away. I figured he would try a few stitches, and then be done with it. But no... he stuck with it. And the next day, he wanted to continue doing it.

A few days later I sat down to knit, and he happily joined me. Look at the joy on his face. My heart was soaring! I would LOVE to have another family member to share knitting with. I hope he sticks with it.
